1. Definitions

1.1. In these Terms of Business, the following definitions apply:

“The J&D House Services”, “We”, “Us” - means J&D House Services

“Customers” - means the person, firm or corporate body together with any sub-sidiary or associated company.

“Cleaning Visit” - means the visit to the Client’s service address by the Clean-er in order to carry out the Service.

2. These Terms

2.1 These Terms and Conditions represent a contract between J&D House Ser-vices and the Customer.

2.2 The customers agree that any use of the J&D House Services, including placing an order for services by telephone, email, website forms shall consti-tute the customers’ acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2.3 These terms and conditions shall become effective upon confirmation by J&D House Services of a booking, whether submitted via our website, in paper form or taken by telephone and confirmed by either of these means.

3. Payment terms

3.1 Customers of J&D House Services, are charged for regular clean; Time per session minimum: 2:00 hours. The cleaning we offer; weekly, biweekly, month-ly, or occasional basis. There is minimum four visit required!

3.2 One-month minimum term applies to all regular weekly and fortnightly domestic services.

3.3 Customers of J&D House Services, are charged for One of Cleaning clean; Time per session minimum: 5:00 hours.

3.4 The applicable hourly rates or agreed price are subject to change and exist-ing customers will be given 30 days’ notice of any price changes.

3.5 J&D House Services, have option to charged flat-rate prices per job taking into account the current condition, number of rooms, bathrooms, Toilets, shower rooms and en-suites.

3.6 Late payment. Customer (estate agent/Building companies etc) understands that any ‘late payments’ may be subject to additional charges.

4. Cancellation

4.1. 3 days’ notice is required if customer cancels or re-schedules a cleaning appointment.

4.2. Customer agrees to pay 100% of the quote as a cancellation fee if the cus-tomer cancels or changes the date/time less than 3 days prior to the scheduled appointment.

4.3. Customer agrees to pay 100% of the quote as a cancellation fee in the event of a lock-out causing our cleaners to be turned away; no one home to let them in; no water or power available at customer’s premises; or problem with customer’s keys

4.4. If keys are provided they must open the lock without any special efforts or skills. Customer agrees to pay the full price of clean if the cleaner(s) cannot gain access to the property.

4.5 We reserve the right to cancel a clean should the property not be accessible or access is not granted within 30 minutes of arrival at the property. Customer agrees to pay the full price as a result of customer failure to make reasonable arrangements for access if cleaner(s) cannot gain access to the property.

4.6 The J&D House Services reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the Customers original requirements change.


5. Complaints / Inspection report

5.1. All services shall be deemed to have been carried out to the Client's satis-faction unless written notice is received by the J&D House Services with de-tails of the complaint within 24 hours of the work being completed.


6. Refunds

6.1. No refund claims will be entertained once the cleaning service has been carried out.

6.2. Refund will be issued only: if the Client has cancelled a cleaning visit within the allowed time 3 working days prior to the start of the cleaning ses-sion and a payment has been already taken by the J&D House Services.


7. Claims

7.1. The Client agrees that due to the nature of the service the J&D House Services guarantees only to correct any problems reported within 24 hours of the completion of the service. Failure to do so will entitle the Client to noth-ing.

7.2. In case of damage, The J&D House Services will repair the item at its cost. If the item cannot be repaired the J&D House Services will rectify the problem by crediting the customer with the item's present actual cash value toward a like replacement, take into accounts its age and condition. J&D House Services shall not in any liable for any loss of profit or consequential loss.

7.3 The J&D House Services shall not be responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. All surfaces (i.e., marble, granite, etc.) are assumed sealed and ready to clean without causing harm.


8. Liability

8.1. The J&D House Services shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay, costs or compensation (whether direct, indi-rect or consequential) which may be suffered or incurred by the Customer aris-ing from or in any way connected with.

8.2 J&D House Services cannot accept responsibility for an existing damage to Customers property in the form of old stains/burns/spillages/mould etc. which cannot be cleaned/removed completely.

8.3 J&D House Services cannot accept responsibility for fading of or damage; carpets, wood furniture, leather furniture, wall/wallpaper if we are asked to cleaned them. Also, we cannot accept responsibility for wood floor if we are asked to clean the floor with a wet mop.

8.4 In these terms and conditions or our contract with you shall limit or ex-clude J&D House Services liability for death or injury caused by negligence.

8.5 J&D House Services cannot accept responsibility for third parties entering or present at the customer’s premises during the cleaning process.

8.6 J&D House Services undertakes to provide absolute security for your keys at all times. In unlikely event of any keys being lost by J&D House Services, we will make appropriate arrangements as soon as reasonable possible. J&D House Services shall not be liable for any loss or damage as result of a delay by the customer.

9. Supplementary Terms

9.1 If the Client requests keys to be collected by the J&D House service’s op-eratives from a third party’s address outside the postal code of the serviced ad-dress then a £10.00 charge will apply. The charge will cover only the pickup of keys. If said keys need to be returned back to the third party’s address or any other address another charge of £10.00 will apply.


10. Equipment

10.1 Our Staff are instructed to use only our cleaning product and equipment on customer premises. However, if customers request for our staff to use their equipment J&D House Services shall not be liable for any loss or damage as a result.

10.2 The Client must provide running water, electricity and sufficient light at the premises where the service takes place.

11. One-of clean

11.1 The quoted price does not include extras like: carpet and upholstery shampoo/steam cleaning, stripping and polishing floors, washing up dishes, taking more than 5 items out of cupboards and then putting them back in, dusting books, cleaning walls/ceilings, curtains, cleaning balconies/terraces, cleaning patios/gardens/, rubbish or waste removal is not part of our standard end of tenancy cleaning, those extra services are priced separately.

11.2 Please ensure all items are removed from kitchen cupboards, fridge / Freezers and Bathrooms, please ensure this process is completed prior to our arrival.

11.3 Please ensure the freezers is turned off prior to our arrival, we do not take responsibility for defrosting freezers but we will endeavour to defrost during our time spent at the property.

12. Our Guarantee

12.1 Our guarantee is subject to complaints and notice no later than 24 hours after the completion of the service. the Client is not satisfied with the clean-ing standard of certain areas after the cleaning, the J&D House service’s opera-tives will come back to the Client’s home, premises and re-clean those areas free of charge.

13. Insurance

13.1 J&D House service has public liability.

14. Law

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are sub-ject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England, and Wales.
